Joyfully I Write

I am very fortunate.

For several years, I have been able to make a life by doing what I enjoy most – writing.

Winston Churchill said: “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

My writing lets me give to a cause I support and have worked for – over 30 years…

Helping kids born with congenital heart disease (CHD).

Recently, I signed a check which will fund heart operations for 3 more little children with heart birth defects.

CHD cheque

It will take the tally of surgeries funded directly or indirectly through my writing past a milestone –

150 heart operations.

That knowledge gives me deep pleasure and satisfaction.

It also inspires me to keep writing.
