About me

Dr Mani travel

Hello, I’m Dr.Mani

I’m a paediatric heart surgeon, author of several books, and am actively engaged in raising funds to sponsor heart surgery for under-privileged children in India.

A desire to help unfortunate children born with heart defects fuelled this effort to attract supporters to join an ambitious and difficult challenge – try and eliminate the deathly spectre of congenital heart disease (CHD).

With tireless energy and enthusiasm, an ardent group of volunteers and donors have embraced this noble purpose that is bigger than any individual or group, and grown it into a global movement that has touched and saved the lives of over 150 little children.

I’d be delighted if you participate, too.

I love to write

You can read some of my short articles here on the blog. And download a few ebooks for free.

And then, there are the books I’ve written that are for sale at a modest price – with the proceeds being donated to sponsor heart operations.

Here are a few of them:

The Icedrop

47 Hearts

How to Focus

Beat Procrastination

Goal Setting

My ‘Author Page’ at Amazon.com lists the others. Be sure to check it out.

I’m sure you’ll find something in this collection that will kindle your interest. And the thought that you’ll be helping a child live will enhance that enjoyment, I hope.

If you like any of the books, please tell your friends about them – and invite them to order a copy.

I love to travel

You’ll find many photos of the various destinations I’ve had the good fortune to visit – on holiday, on professional work, or a combination of both.

I’ll share some interesting anecdotes and experiences from these trips – and hopefully you’ll find them enjoyable, entertaining and inspirational, too.

About Dr Mani

I love to read

And I love reading books. My tastes are diverse and you’ll see many book reviews of my favourite titles sprinkled over this website.

On average, I’ll be reading 3 books at any given time, juggling between them depending upon my mood and interest. In a year, I’ll read around 30 books – and you’ll hear about the good ones that are worth reading if you explore other sections of this site.
